Did you know pet ferrets are domesticated
European polecats and they should have food and water available to them at
all times since they love to snack? Ferrets do well on dry kitten or
ferret chow providing 30-40% crude protein and 15-20% fat. We offer a wide
selection of formulated ferret food for
the unique and specific need of your ferret. Although ferrets enjoy
eating those types of dry chows, they do not digest carbohydrates or
roughage well. Ferret vitamin supplements are available but are not
required.

TIP: Do not feed your pet
ferret products containing refined sugar. Feeding foods they are
not accustomed to will often result in diarrhea. The diet of older or frail
ferrets can be supplemented with cooked eggs and beef liver as well as
strained baby meats. The lifespan of ferrets is 8-11 years.
